Tom sat back against the edge of a picnic table and pulled Patrick to him, enclosing him in the circle of his arms. His eyes searched Patrick’s face.

Romantic_004Patrick’s heart hammered in his chest, and his mouth was dry. He felt the heat of Tom’s body where his arms pressed against the blond man’s chest. Conscious that he wanted to be nearer that heat, Patrick pulled his arms free and held Tom in turn, his hands resting upon slim hips. Taut muscles moved under the clothing beneath his fingers.

Tom cocked his head to the side, one half dark in shadow, one half bright. His eyes glittered in the moonlight.

Patrick could make out the trace of beard that lined Tom’s jaw and lips. He wanted to feel those lips, taste them. He leaned closer. Tom’s hair brushed his forehead; damp with sweat, it smelled of salt and springtime.

Tom closed the distance; their lips met, soft and cautious, as their arms pulled them together. Patrick’s world became the kiss. Supple and luxuriant, Tom’s lips and mouth overwhelmed his awareness; Tom’s tongue joined the melee and Patrick’s answered in kind. He tasted the spicy bite of gin, mixed with citrus. Tom nipped at his tongue, then bit softly into his lower lip as if Patrick were his to consume whole. Patrick gasped. Breathing seemed secondary.

Just as their mouths moved against each other, their bodies sought to be closer still. Hands clawed at fabric, seeking the touch of skin on skin. Turning them around, Tom broke the kiss and pressed Patrick backward until he lay atop the table.

Welcome, everyone!

It’s Saturday, which means it’s time for some Seductive Studs and Sirens! I’m doing another clip from Double Team; so to catch up, click here. We join the guys as they leave the Student Union:

We made short work of the trip to Joey’s dorm. Malcom Hall was an original Grandville building and sat just across the Quad opposite the Student Union. The room was more than large enough for Joey and his two roommates. He explained it had actually been meant as a four-man space, but due to an odd pipe intrusion, the square footage only allowed for three occupants—and they had made the most of it.

Joey’s engineering skills were clearly on display with the cantilevered bunk beds that occupied one wall, leaving the bulk of the space for recreational purposes. The largest TV I had ever seen faced two sofas and a futon mattress strewn with floor pillows. The “mosh pit” Joey called it. A DVD player, stereo and several gaming consoles completed the audio-visual set up.

Noah whistled. “How do you guys study?”

Scalzotti chuckled. “That’s what the library’s for.”

ColdOneNext to the futon stood a small refrigerator, out of which he grabbed several cans and handed around the beers.

“Don’t worry, Rufus, it’s low-carb.” He trailed his beer can along the exposed skin below the hem of the footballer’s shirt.

Rufus hissed at the contact. “That’s cold, man.”

‘You look like you could use some cooling off.” Joey’s hand drifted lower to graze along the large bulge in Rufus’ shorts. My own cock was getting hard just watching.

“I don’t think I want to cool off just yet.” Rufus placed a hand on Joey’s neck and pulled him closer. Their faces stopped just short of each other. Joey’s hand came to rest on Rufus’ chest; his other continued to hold his beer, forgotten.

Welcome, everyone!

Time again for some Seductive Studs and Sirens! However, this weekend I’m stepping away from Radiq—just for today, so don’t worry.

Why? you ask. Because Those Grandville Guys is now available in paperback!

So, to have a bit of an exhibition for this event, today’s clip is from Double Team, which makes its début in this volume. Another clip is available here. We join Jerry (our narrator) and his boyfriend, Noah, as they share a late-night snack with their friends, Rufus and Joey.

Joey nodded toward the other side of the table. I followed his eye line and watched as Rufus stretched and casually laid a formidable forearm along the back of my boyfriend’s chair.

“You guys should come over to my room!” Joey blurted.

“What are you doing?” I whispered to Joey through gritted teeth.

“Just follow my lead,” he mumbled back. Then, louder, “Josiah’s dad bought him a sweet 60-inch plasma TV. He’s getting divorced—his dad, not Josie—and needed to ameliorate Josie’s grief at the loss of step-mom number three … or is it four? But he’s got his own way of grieving—he’s chasing a little Tri Delt he met last weekend. Macon’s gone for the weekend as well, so I’m all alone.” He pouted, looking disturbingly like Debbie Mazar with stubble. “Whatya say? The fridge is stocked, and I’ve got a couple of new DVDs for … uhm …. entertainment.”

Noah swallowed a bite of his sandwich. “Sure! Sounds fun!”

I gaped at Noah; despite his nerdy exterior, there was an adventurer underneath. I liked that more and more. “I’m good, too.”

Rufus shook his head. “I—”

Joey held up a finger. “Don’t give me that ‘my body’s a temple’ crap! Your temple’s had more visitors than the Acropolis!”

Rufus slapped the table top, making the service ware jump. “Damn, Joey, you come up with the best lines!” He leaned back in his chair. “I’m in.”

Happy New Year, everyone! (Hey, it’s still January!)

Getting the year off to a start has been a bit of a challenge, but things are looking good! Just released is my newest collection, Those Grandville Guys, which brings together all the current Grandville stories and adds two new ones to the mix.

Today’s clip is from one of those new stories, Double Team. We first met Jerry and Noah as Noah told their story, The Pickup Game, and we now hear from Jerry, as he and Noah explore a new dimension of their developing relationship:

My trigonometry assignment was turning into Swahili, and I was two degrees from banging my head on the desk in frustration when Noah came crashing into our dorm room. His backpack and text books flew across the space, thumping loudly against the wall.

“That damn Rufus Sherman is at it again!”

“What has your not-so-secret admirer done this time?” I struggled to keep from grinning. Noah is just so cute when he’s angry.

LibraryGuy“I’m in the library, studying for my Differential Equations exam, and Sherman sits down across from me.”

“So? There are worse things to look at.” Tall, dark, handsome—and able to be outsmarted by a bag of gravel—Rufus Sherman was the archetype of the dumb jock and, admittedly, the last person I’d expect to be showing up in the library.

“So?” Noah’s voice slid up a full octave. “He started rubbing his foot on my leg, making straight for my crotch!”

Ever since he’d met Noah at a fraternity party, Rufus had had a total crush on him. I choked back a snicker.

Noah glared at me. “It’s not funny!”

I tried my best to look stern. “What did you do?”

“I moved, of course.” Noah sat on his side of our beds. “Then he followed me.”

“Did you talk to him?” I knew that Rufus was harmless—although an outrageous flirt, he was a total bottom, who’d exploded out of the closet when he arrived at Grandville.

“Yes! I told him to leave me alone!”

“Playing hard-to-get will only egg him on,” I warned.

“I’m not playing hard to get!”

I had to indulge my inner theater queen: “Methinks the lady doth protest too much.”

 “Don’t quote Shakespeare at me!” Melodramatically, Noah flopped back against the pillows, flinging an arm across his face. “Why did you guys have to pledge him?”

“He’s a legacy! His father is Lambda Chi; his uncle is Lambda Chi; his grandfather is Lambda Chi—and donated a building! We couldn’t not pledge him!” The fact that Rufus was an All-Conference running back for Grandville’s football team didn’t hurt either—he was a pretty big feather in Lambda Chi’s cap.

“I know. I’m not blaming you.” Noah sighed. “He’s a nice guy—and, God knows, he’s good-looking—but he won’t take ‘no’ for an answer!”

“Well…” I considered the possible ramifications of my next words. They could leave me hanging from a really flimsy limb. Ah, fuck it, I thought. “Then say, ‘Yes.'”

237 years since the words “all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness” were written. Yet the greatest nation on Earth still doesn’t offer true independence to its GLBT citizens, while 15 other nations (Argentina, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Denmark, France, Iceland, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Spain, South Africa, Sweden, and Uruguay) have enacted national legislation to recognize same-sex marriage rights.

In addition 17 other nations have some type of civil union or registered partnerships (Andorra, Austria, Colombia, Czech Republic, Ecuador, Finland, Germany, Greenland, Hungary, Ireland, Isle of Man, Jersey, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Slovenia, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom). It’s also worth noting that a large number of these countries also offer health coverage to all their citizens and have actual gun control laws, among other 21st century innovations. 😉

Happy 237th Birthday! Here’s to many more to keep getting it more right! So let’s celebrate with some sexiness and let the sparks fly!

“What’s the matter, Dan?” Ryan paused the Xbox, stilling a zombie in mid-explosion. “You’re pacing like a caged lion.” His big blue eyes gleamed, filled with concern. At 21 Ryan was really still just a pup, growing into his paws. And like a puppy, he was young, adorable and eager to please—or to follow any command I might give him.

I grabbed a handful of his straw-colored hair and messed up the carefully faux-hawked look, making him appear even more irresistibly boyish.

“It’s nothing.” I ducked, evading his attempt at revenge. “Just the usual Sunday evening blues: I’m thinking about the Myerson prosecution and really not looking forward to heading into the office tomorrow.”

“Then don’t think about it!” He shrugged, turning back to the undead invasion. Employing a machete and Uzi, he cleared the level. “You want to fuck?”

Slightly amazed, I looked up from the crossword I was trying to finish. “Ryan! For chrissake! You spent half of the night handcuffed to the bed, and I screwed the living daylights out of you in the shower this morning! How much more sex can your ass take, anyway?”

Ryan shot me a bad boy leer. “My ass can handle anything you can dish out, stud. What do you say we put in some porn? I got a new DVD with those hot Czech twins! Yummy!”

Over the years I’ve found it rarely pays to let your lover get too cocky. “Maybe later.” I pretended to stifle a yawn. “I’ve got to polish my shoes for the morning.”

“I’ll get the polish,” Ryan offered—a hint of mischief sparking in his eye. Something was up—Ryan and manual labor rarely occupied the same piece of space-time. Abandoning the video game, he vanished from the family room. Returning from the bedroom, he confirmed my suspicions—he’d changed out of the jeans and button-down shirt he’d worn to brunch. Dressed only in a torn, gray tee-shirt, white Jockey shorts, and a pair of dirty gym socks, he looked hot as hell.

“Something tells me—”

“Ssh!” Ryan held a finger to his lips. Favoring me with a view of his tight ass, he rummaged under the kitchen sink and came up with the cardboard box I keep filled with various pastes and waxes. “One shoeshine coming up!”

He beamed, quite pleased with himself. After spreading out some old newspapers on the kitchen floor right under my feet, he searched through the shoeshine box for the black polish. “You might have to remind me how this is done,” he warned me. “It’s been a while.”

Curious to see just exactly where all this was leading, I decided to play along with his game. “All right, first you have to get all the dirt off.”

Immediately, Ryan dropped to his knees and began licking my black penny loafers!

I watched silently, not sure how to respond to him on all fours giving my shoes a thorough tonguing. We’d never done anything like this before—role-playing had always struck me as silly. Still, the sight of my boyfriend, wrapping his hot, wet tongue around my size 13 loafers, his Jockey-clad butt sticking straight up in the air, was proving to be a major turn-on for me. Grabbing a hold of his tattered shirt, Ryan ripped the tee-shirt off, exposing his tanned smooth chest. Tearing the grungy rag into thirds, he went to work, drying my left loafer while I worked my right foot up between his legs. His cock stood upright, stretching the pee-stained cotton of his shorts. I pushed my heel firmly against his stiff dick.

Ryan moaned softly. “Yeah, work my dick for me!” He pressed his crotch even harder against the sole of my shoe. It was a ball buster for me to see the fucker so horny. I was only too happy to oblige.

Still, a little discipline never hurt anyone. “Keep your mind on your work, boy,” I warned, removing my foot.

Greetings, all! It’s time for a Hump Day Hook!

To celebrate the release of Sophomore Season, today’s hook is from Coxswain All the Way, which appears in the collection.

As coxswain of the varsity eight, Derek was the little guy who sat in the stern of the boat, yelling to the oarsmen about where they were with respect to the other boats in a race, working with the stroke—the stern-most and lead oarsman—on strategy, and acting as in-boat coach, fine tuning the oarsmen’s rowing technique.

At night, since they were driving non-stop, the navigator’s job was to keep himself and the driver awake.

Hump Day Hook – 06 March 2013

It’s Wednesday and that means it’s time for a Hump Day Hook!

I’m finishing my release celebration of Lust in Time: Erotic Romance through the Ages with a final clip from Giant Killer, the 1000 BC entry in this great collection from Rob Rosen and MLR Press.
